Laurie has over 25 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy and is passionate about healing patients. As the inspirational captain of Stanford’s women’s volleyball 1992 NCAA Championship team, Laurie has first-hand knowledge of the dedication and commitment required to be an elite athlete. She particularly enjoys helping athletes improve their performance.
She pursued her PT degree at USC, one of the top programs in the country, where she honed her knowledge of the human body and her ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of injuries. Laurie educates patients about their injuries so that they understand why their pain exists and how to decrease it and motivates patients to do their home exercise program to heal themselves. Whether a patient is struggling with a strength or motor control deficit, Laurie assesses each patient and focuses her treatments accordingly.
When she is not practicing physical therapy, Laurie loves riding her bike to the beach or hiking with friends, playing pickleball with her husband Willie, and visiting her three children Patrick, Jake and Lexi wherever life takes them.
